Approved by Finance Organization.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Revenue License of the Previous Year.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Valid Vehicle Insurance Policy Certificates.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Fitness Certificates for Commercial Vehicles.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Passenger Service permits for Omni Bus.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Valid Emission certificate<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Commercial Vehicles<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Motor Lorry<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Private Couches<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Omni Bus<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Motor tricycle van<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Ambulance<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Hearse<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b><br \/>\n<\/b><b>Penalties<\/b><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">As the licensing year of a motor vehicle commence from the day and the month on the date of the first registration of that motor vehicle, be made within three working days of the corresponding day of the corresponding month (hereinafter called \u201cthe due date for the payment of license fee\u201d) of the year in respect of which the license is applied for When a period is not exceeding 6 months has elapsed after the due date of payment of license fees-10% of the prescribed annual fee.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">License for a newly registered vehicle shall be taken within 7 days, and if the said period is exceed 10% of the prescribed annual fee.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">When a period of over 6 month s but less than 12 months has elapsed after the due date for payment of license fees 20% of the prescribed annual fee.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">When a period is over 12 months has elapsed after the due date for payment of license fees 30% of the prescribed annual fee.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>\n<section class='av_toggle_section av-m5xmgdbt-54c8766d1815782d70d15f999a5f7fc7'  itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/CreativeWork\" ><div role=\"tablist\" class=\"single_toggle\" data-tags=\"{All} \"  ><p data-fake-id='#toggle-id-2' class='toggler   av-inherit-font-color hasCustomColor'  itemprop=\"headline\"  role='tab' tabindex='0' aria-controls='toggle-id-2'>Re-issuance of a misplaced vehicle revenue licence<span class=\"toggle_icon\"><span class=\"vert_icon\"><\/span><span class=\"hor_icon\"><\/span><\/span><\/p><div id='toggle-id-2' class='toggle_wrap  '  ><div class='toggle_content invers-color av-inherit-font-color hasCustomColor'  itemprop=\"text\" ><p><strong>Re-issuance of a vehicle revenue licence in case of misplacement of\u00a0 annual valid vehicle revenue licence<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>If the re-issuance is requested by the registered owner of the vehicle:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Vehicle Registration Certificate and two photocopies of it<\/li>\n<li>Vehicle owner&#8217;s National Identity Card or an acceptable identity card and 2 copies of it<\/li>\n<li>Original document of complaint made to the police and a photocopy of it<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The above documents should be submitted to a Divisional Secretariat or to the Head Office of the Department of Motor Traffic (WP) at Maligawatta. The fee for the period starting from the date of submission of the above documents\u00a0 to the date of expiry of the licence should be paid to obtain a re-issuance.<\/p>\n<p><strong>If the re-issuance is requested by the transferee of the vehicle:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Vehicle Registration Certificate and two photocopies of it<\/li>\n<li>Vehicle owner&#8217;s National Identity Card or an acceptable identity card and 2 copies of it<\/li>\n<li>Original document of complaint made to the police and a photocopy of it<\/li>\n<li>National Identity Card of transferee and 2 photocopies of it<\/li>\n<li>Form CMT 52 issued by the Department of Motor Traffic (Narahenpita) and 2 photocopies of it<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The above documents should be submitted to a Divisional Secretariat or to the Head Office of the Department of Motor Traffic (WP) at Maligawatta.
